You may or not know this about me, but I absolutely despise packing. It can be as little as packing for a trip or as big as a move. Regardless of what it is, I really do not enjoy packing AT ALL. So it should come as no surprise that I procrastinated on a major level when packing my condo for the CA move. Despite my loathing for packing, I came out of the experience with some tips for those doing their own packing and moving.
I don't know how it came to be, but I have many magazine subscriptions to various magazines and I had plenty of them laying around. Not knowing what to do with them, I had a collection at my house. About a month ago, I stopped my newspaper subscription so I no longer had newspapers lying around to pack with. So I used the next best thing - my magazines!
I gotta say, magazines are WAY better to use when packing. Why is this? The ink from newspapers will get on your hands which can then be transferred to anything and everything you touch. The beauty of the magazine, is that it has glossy pages and there's no mess to deal with! Since I was unprepared for the move, I used about 10 magazines to stuff and fill my boxes and had no mess on my hands when I finished!
Do you guys have any other tips and tricks when packing that you would like to share?
