I'm excited to post that I accomplished my goal for the week! My goal was to work out 6 days in row starting last Monday and I did it! I'm not gonna lie, it was a little difficult to be motivated throughout the week, but it's definitely a great feeling to say that I did it! My next goal - workout 6 days in a row for the 2nd week in a row. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress on my weekly check-in.
In addition to the working out goal, I'm proud to say that I didn't go over my 1600 calorie daily allotment this week, with the exception of yesterday's cheat day which also fared well. Yesterday the family went to a graduation party and as we all know, parties usually have foods that aren't so diet friendly. Luckily for me, I did a killer workout in the morning that burned 750 calories in order to prep myself for my calorific day. After it was all said and done, I exceeded my calorie allotment by only 450 calories! Not bad for a cheat day huh? I won't lie, it wasn't easy, but it was manageable and I gave myself a pep talk at the beginning of the day so that I wouldn't have sticker shock after my calorie tracker turned red after going over my calories for the day. The most important thing about this cheat day - the killer workout I did in the morning to offset my calories. If you're planning on doing a cheat day (which you should every now and again to avoid binges), it's crucial to do a hard workout for the day to make it worth your while. Otherwise all of your hard work can be blown in one day of binge eating. I usually try to limit my bad eating to one meal for the day, but yesterday it was lunch and dinner. Luckily, I didn't eat as much I normally would and had a lot more self control due to the baby steps that I've been taking the past couple months.
Having this miniature accomplishment was definitely a morale booster as I tend to get down on myself pretty easily. Here's to another week full of accomplishments, whether they be small or big ones!
What accomplishments have you had this week that you would like to share?
Until next time!
